Joseph Formichella is currently photographing a series of nudes in body paint under black light. The look is striking and extremely colorful, and the results are unique. Intense colors and abstract patterns form an image that is primitive – even tribal – yet strangely futuristic.

Recently he has also been returning to his Klassic Glamour roots, shooting more glamour-style and erotic photography, occasionally adding black light elements in unexpected places.

His black light images are as they appeared to the camera. They have not been enhanced, distorted, or otherwise fucked with by any post-production software or technological trickery.

An Arizona native, Joseph Formichella has struggled all his life to discover, create, or improvise some sort of culture in the desert, as a writer, photographer, and filmmaker – with mixed results. Of late, things are improving. He studied photography at ASU and has pursued his art through the lens for as long as he could point and shoot.

He hopes to expand his photography to portray the world in a different light.
